There are many new types of materials available these days that can also be used to replace siding and trim boards, that have been damaged or rotted over the winter. These include pvc materials, composites, acrylic and cement board products. These materials are available in most sizes and can be easily machined to tie right into existing facades without any real difference except that they wont rot, and usually don’t need any priming and only one finish coat of paint; and they usually use the same amount of labor to install as real wood.
