Home Inspectors

When purchasing a home, you should always request an inspection. In general,  inspections are not mandatory, but it is a good idea to identify problems with the home before purchase.  Your realtor or loan company, will almost always recommend inspectors with minimal field experience in home remodeling.

Being in the residential remodeling and repair industry for 50 years, I highly recommend home buyers to hire their own private inspector who has the field experience to identify the condition and home maintenance of your purchase.

I suggest having the report broken down into two categories.

One – Small maintenance and repair issues.

Two – Big ticket repairs

Having this information gives you a better understanding of costs for maintenance and repairs you may have to shoulder.
